HEXR is the world’s first custom-fit helmet, crafted to the exact contours of your head. Using 100% sustainable materials, HEXR’s honeycomb structure has a smarter crumple response than traditional foam helmets.

“No two heads are the same, so why should helmets be?” is our repeated mantra. In contrast to the limited number of sizes provided by mainstream helmet brands, the creation of your own personal helmet begins with a fitting of your head with our app, which harnesses a 250,000-point 3D mesh.

About HEXR

My role entails the end-to-end process of designing cycling, motorcycle, ski, and construction helmets. I work closely with manufacturers to deliver products of the highest quality. I have experience working with project managers and engineers in a tightly-knit team to create data-driven products.

This is a glimpse at some of the projects I have worked on. Please note that not all of the projects can be shown due to confidentiality.

My Role

Construction

Brief: Design a market-ready industrial helmet that mitigates load from falling projectiles and general falls.

Environment: Building sites

Type: Standard Construction Helmet

Material: ABS

Price Range: £25-£75

On construction sites, workers have specific colours to signify their respective roles. With this in mind, the helmet will integrate interchangeable coloured panels that can be applied to the standard white helmet.
